Christopher "Treef" Rosow is the principal and owner of threebeans design/build:

My experience with construction and real estate is multi-faceted.  As the managing member of a Florida real estate development, I oversaw the construction of over 300 homes; the planning, permitting and construction of several miles of roadway and utilities; the design and construction of a community clubhouse and restaurant; the general day-to-day operations, sales and marketing; and the project's financing, insurance, and human resources needs.  The project was well-known for creating marketing and lifestyle enhancements which differentiated it in a crowded marketplace.  Based on that success, the project was sold in 2006 after a competing developer made an unsolicited offer for the purchase of the community and its remaining development rights.

More recently, I was a partner in a boutique design firm, offering interior design and construction management to clients in Fairfield, Southport, Westport and beyond.  The firm specialized in providing an all-in-one solution, from the design to the construction to the custom furnishings in a room or in an entire home.

I formed threebeans to continue that idea of design and construction under one roof. Proficient in designing in CAD and hands-on in construction, my unique approach to each project is actually quite simple:  one person is responsible for the design and realization of a project.  On-site every day, and undertaking a limited amount of work at a time, I can execute and deliver a creative project, unsurpassed in quality, from beginning to end, on-time and on-budget.

As a licensed and insured general contractor, I am proud to work alongside the craftsmen who make my designs and concepts into reality.  Each sub-contractor is carefully vetted and very experienced in their trade.  Without exception, this talented team is hard-working and dedicated to quality.  By developing long-standing relationships with the team, I am fortunate to have a group that works extremely well together.

In late 2013, I opened a state-of-the-art cabinet and millwork shop in Fairfield, which will greatly expand my cabinet and millwork offerings.  In addition, the building houses a warehouse for construction materials and tools as well as a design office and, when time and shop availability permits, a showroom.

Married with three children, I live in Southport.  I am a past Trustee and past President of the Pequot Library Association, and helped plan and oversee Pequot Library's  award-winning restoration in 2005.  I am a past Chairman and President of the Southport Conservancy. I am a member and former governor of Pequot Yacht Club, and a member of the New York Yacht Club and the Country Club of Fairfield.

Aside from the usual question ("so how much will that cost?!"), the most-asked question is "what does the name mean?"

And, yes, threebeans is not a typical construction moniker.

In short, the name refers to my three children, of course.  But it also refers to the three coffee beans dropped into a glass of Sambuca, which represent a toast to health, happiness, and prosperity.   A fitting toast, indeed, to anyone who lives in, or works with, a threbeans project.
